A Safe Place to Run

Leslie Ann Jones
A Safe Place to Run-Muscadine Press

The Lord is a safe place to run in the midst of trouble. There's no better place to be than in the shelter of his wings, because this is the Truth: the world may fall to pieces around us, but the Lord remains unshaken.

Preach that truth to yourself today and tuck it into your heart. Say it out loud, and say it often. Remind yourself, and others, that the Lord is a refuge and fortress for the broken and afraid.

Everything else in our world may have changed overnight, but God remains the same. Run to him, and you'll find the shelter, rest, and peace that your soul so desperately needs.

The promise of the gospel is not that I would never face trouble or hardship in this life, but that when those troubles come my way, I do not face them alone.
