I had such a good time with our littlest on Saturday. She's got a little entrepreneurial spirit in her, and she begged to sell homemade treats alongside me at the Fall Festival at Market House, so of course, I relented (after getting permission, of course), and she began planning in full force.
For weeks, she talked about what she might make to sell. She calculated costs and planned packaging and finally settled on her daddy's famous fudge. She made it (mostly) all by herself and was so excited to set up with me when the big day arrived.
That empty tray and big smile means that she sold out, and I'm so, so proud of her. Running a small business from home isn't always easy, but I'm so grateful that our girls are learning, firsthand, what you can do with a dream, an opportunity, and a lot of hard work. I hope she never stops dreaming big dreams.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, she plans to spend her profits on Christmas gifts for others. Gosh, I love that kid!
