Name the Tiny Joys

Name the Tiny Joys-Muscadine Press

There's something to be said for the simple act of naming the tiny joys in life. It may not seem like much, but taking a moment day by day to focus on the good and give thanks for blessings both big and small has a way of slowly but surely changing a heart.

It's in gratitude, even for the small things, that we forget our grumbling and remember what matters most. God is good. All the time. And not only is he good, he is good to us. Even in the mess. Even in the chaos. He is good.

In that spirit then, here are a few tiny joys that I'm thankful for today.

1. Crisp fall mornings
2. Cozy sweaters
3. Changing seasons
4. Candy corn and pumpkins

It might seem silly to count these small things as blessings, but they make my heart happy and bring me joy, so as far as I'm concerned, they're worth naming.

What about you? What little things are you giving thanks for today?

The promise of the gospel is not that I would never face trouble or hardship in this life, but that when those troubles come my way, I do not face them alone.
